Our Windows Media™ encoding service includes a conference recording in
wave file format, optimized audio, and final conversion to WMA. The original
wave file is available for a small
additional charge.
AFS Definition: A Windows Media™ file (.WMA or .ASF) is a compressed audio file that is
great for internet streaming and downloading but not a good choice for
archival purposes. Because this audio file is compressed, the size of
the file is much smaller than a comparable wave file of the same length.
(Comparison
Table) AudioFile Solutions encodes .WMA files in a 10-32Kbps format
and .ASF files in a 8-32Kbps format for a conference call.
