We’ve been converting old tapes since 2002. Your tapes are handled by a professional engineer, not a technician. We set levels by hand. Volumes are leveled and normalized (most formats).
Cassettes are $20/ea., up to 120 minutes. VHS is $20/ea., up to 2hrs. Records & LPs are $25/ea. Reel-to-reel audio tapes are $25/hr. (time spent). We have a $50 minimum charge per project. CD and DVD masters are an additional $10 and $15 respectively.
We convert audio cassettes, reel-to-reel, records, VHS, VHS-C, DAT and some other formats. Please contact us if you don’t see your tape listed here.
Yes, we have a special needle that we use only for 78s. Audio is tweaked by ear so that it sounds as it was originally intended.
While we do convert microcassette tapes, we often ask you to bring in the original device that you used to record it. Microcassette players are very finicky, and so using the original recorder will often provide the best audio quality.
Yes, give us a call for our FedEx address. Plan on shipping your tapes via air mail and not ground.
Absolutely! All of our conversion services are high resolution. If you have a specific request, please give us a call to discuss.
Duplicated discs were originally thought to last over 100 years. Many people are now disputing that and saying that they sometimes only last as little as 5 years. Be sure to archive multiple copies of your disc. In addition, you should “rip” the contents of the disc into an audio file or video file, and save those files to multiple computers. Don’t rely on the physical media as your only archive.
Yes, we are a professional editing company. We often do minor editing at no extra charge. In many cases, we add CD tracks at no additional charge. If you need more editing done to your cherished tapes, please let us know and we will quote you an affordable price.
